Proponemos explorar los v\u00ednculos entre literatura y memoria en el campo literario latinoamericano de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, lo que supone indagar cu\u00e1l es la intervenci\u00f3n y el aporte particular que la escritura literaria efect\u00faa en el interior de los estudios sobre memoria. De all\u00ed que las l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n que formulamos se inicien con el sondeo en torno a los debates te\u00f3rico-cr\u00edticos espec\u00edficos del v\u00ednculo entre literatura y memoria, a saber, la exploraci\u00f3n de los l\u00edmites y las posibilidades de representar la violencia extrema a trav\u00e9s de la literatura, a la capacidad de la palabra para dar cuenta del mal radical, al intento de testimoniar lo intestimoniable (Levi), de imaginar lo inimaginable (Didi-Huberman), de representar lo irrepresentable (Ranci\u00e8re), de decir lo indecible (Agamben), de nombrar lo innombrable(Reati) -y a la \u00e9tica implicada en el acto de ficcionalizar o estetizar estas experiencias. La relaci\u00f3n entre literatura y memoria abordar\u00e1 necesariamente el dilema de c\u00f3mo narrar el mal radical que se inicia con el cuestionamiento a las perspectivas mim\u00e9ticas y a las est\u00e9ticas del realismo (en su sentido m\u00e1s estrecho) y culmina con el ensayo y la experimentaci\u00f3n con modos oblicuos y sesgados de la representaci\u00f3n (Amar S\u00e1nchez) que incluyen incluso el humor, la iron\u00eda, la parodia o el cinismo. No se trata solo de escoger una matriz est\u00e9tica, adem\u00e1s la elecci\u00f3n y reconfiguraci\u00f3n de ciertos g\u00e9neros literarios ha cobrado protagonismo en especial aquellos que resultan funcionales como el testimonio dentro de la tradici\u00f3n latinoamericana desde su institucionalizaci\u00f3n en Cuba en los inicios de la d\u00e9cada de los \u030170hasta su reescritura en el Cono Sur; o el policial cuya l\u00f3gica despliega violencia y se centra en el crimen, o el fant\u00e1stico que se reconvierte para vehiculizar los fantasmas dejados por la violencia de la historia reciente, o la novela hist\u00f3rica que permite leer a contrapelo la \u00e9pica nacional y auscultar las barbaries que oculta, entre otros casos. A partir de estos focos te\u00f3ricos se abordar\u00e1n diversos corpus literarios que van a privilegiar los diversos aportes de la literatura latinoamericana, en cuyo campo trazaremos dos movimientos: (1) desde el Cono Sur hacia otros contextos de Am\u00e9rica Latina; (2) desde las experiencias ancladas en las dictaduras\/genocidios hacia otros modos de la violencia (narcotr\u00e1fico, neoliberalismo, exilios, frontera, etc.). We will explore the relationships between literature and memory in the Latin-American literary field of the last decades. This implies to study literary writing as an intervention and a specific contribution within memory studies. Hence the proposed research lines start with the specific theoretical-critical debates on the relations between literature and memory, such as the exploration of the limits and possibilities to represent extreme violence through literature, the capacity of word to express radical evil, the intent to bear witness of the unbearable (Levi), to imagine the unimaginable(Didi-Huberman), to represent the un-representable (Ranci\u00e8re), to tell the un-tellable (Agambem), to name the un-namable (Reati), and also the ethics in the act of fictionalize or esthetize these experiences. The relationship of literature and memory will necessarily address the issue of how to narrate radical evil that arouses questions against mimetic perspectives and realistic aesthetics (in their limited scope) and generates experimentation and oblique modes of representation (Amar S\u00e1nchez) including humor, irony, parody or cinism. It is not only a matter of choosing some aesthetics, literary genres and their reconfigurations have gained importance, especially those functional genres as testimony in its various forms within Latin-American tradition since its institutionalization in Cuba at the beginning of the 70s up to its rewritings in South Cone; or detective fiction whose logic focuses on violence and crime; or fantasy that appears now as a vehicle for ghosts left by violence of recent history; or historical novel allowing to read differently the national epic and to reveal hidden barbarism.
